Moodle 3.7 Upgrade
Moodle will be unavailable on Friday December 6th (overnight) and Saturday December 7th (daytime)
We know there’s never a good time to lose access to Moodle. Although we’ll keep service interruptions to an absolute minimum, our Moodle system will be unavailable from 20:00 AEDT on Friday December 6th until 20:00 AEDT on Saturday December 7th.
What do I need to do in preparation?
Please contact Monash Education Innovation if you have any teaching activities planned on Saturday, 7th December that will require access to Moodle. If you have already contacted us, there’s no need to do anything further.
Please consider adjusting the timing of assessments so they do not occur during or immediately after the weekend of 7-8 December.
Here are some reports to help identify potentially impacted activities:
Reports from Moodle about assignments due, quizzes due, and TII2 assignments due during the upgrade weekend.
Report from Scheduling Services showing activities scheduled week before, during, and week after the upgrade weekend
If you need access to any information or files stored in Moodle during the weekend of 7-8 December they should be downloaded to your computer BEFORE 20:00 AEDT on Friday December 6th.
Read through the “What’s new” guide or book in for a “What’s new” webinar session if you need further information.
Information for students
Impacted students will be informed of the upgrade by email, and also notified on My.Monash and Moodle. The Moodle Library Guide will be updated with information about Moodle 3.7 in time for the changeover.
